Yogasana in Sanskrit means the practice of yoga postures but for me, it has always carried a deeper meaning.
When I was born, I was given the name Sanna. And it has stayed with me since the very beginning just as yoga has.
Yoga came into my life right before everything became difficult. Not after. Before. As if it arrived to prepare me, to steady me before the storms of life came. Perhaps that is why Yogasana was never just a name I chose. It found me. Or maybe, it was always meant to be.
Through years of training and the grace (Kripa) of my gurus, I carry that same blessing with me and I share it with you through Yogasana. This is not just a class. It is a space where the blessing flows. Where you are seen, healed, and blessed. Yoga becomes the medium that gently prepares you. it is the path where you see love, not seek it.
Whether or not you believe in God, whether you consider yourself spiritual or not you are always being taken care of. And I share that not as a philosophy, but as something I have lived until I trusted it to be true.
YOGASANNA is my offering to each one of you. You receive the healing and blessings through Yoga and Deep Meditation. It begins with asanas where you are and from there it unfolds on its own, gradually opening you to a higher awareness and blessings deeper than words can hold.
As Maharishi Patanjali defined Yoga as:
योगश्चित्तवृत्तिनिरोधः
German: Yoga ist das Aufhören der Schwankungen des Geistes
